We built MyGuardz for the people we love, the journeys we worry about, and the moments when a little extra reassurance makes all the difference.
WHY
A notification isn't a plan.
Sometimes something just doesn't feel right. A noise outside at 2am. The last bus home. Walking back after a night out, or spending a week on your own.
We've all been there. You might not need the police, and your friends or family might be asleep or in a different time zone. But you should still feel safe.
The tools we tried left gaps. We wanted something simple for the moments when you need reassurance, and ready to help if things take a more serious turn. So we built it.
“Text me when you're home” only helps when the text arrives.

Co-founder & CEO
Before MyGuardz, I spent four years in leadership roles at a global security company. I saw how guard response works from the inside, and I always felt that kind of support should be easier for everyday people to access.
I'm also a mum, and I know that stretch of the evening between "I'm leaving now" and "I'm home".
I don't want to follow my children around on a map. I want them to have their privacy, while knowing that if something goes wrong, someone will answer. Not just me, wherever I happen to be, but trained professionals who know how to respond.
That's why we built MyGuardz.
Matija Matijevac
Co-founder & CTO
I've worked in software and mobile app development for more than 20 years. Privacy isn't just a feature to me. It's something I value personally, both as a developer and as a user.
I also run at night, often alone, and I have a young daughter who might one day want to do the same. I wanted an app I'd trust with both of us, one that helps when needed without feeling like surveillance.
That's why MyGuardz is designed to collect and share as little as possible. Until something goes wrong, nobody sees where you are. Not your Circle, and not us.
That's the part I look after.
The company behind it
MyGuardz is developed by Brombul d.o.o., an independent company based in Zagreb, Croatia. As an EU company, we operate under GDPR, and your data remains protected by it wherever you use the app.
MyGuardz grew out of Zuluhood, a top-10 startup finalist at CES 2022.
We build the technology.
The people who respond are local.
Guard response and control rooms are provided by licensed security companies that already work in the areas they cover, with trained staff who know those streets.
The app shows you exactly who provides the service in your area, and MyGuardz remains your single point of contact for support, billing and complaints.
